On 10 June 2026, as Shandong Guangda Aviation Service Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Guangda”), a subsidiary of Weihai Guangtai Airport Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Weihai Guangtai”), marked its 30th anniversary, Guangda formally signed a MoU with FMG INC from Japan, announcing the opening of a new chapter in its overseas business and taking a crucial first step in its international expansion, reaching another significant milestone in building its global service network.

This partnership came as a result of the long-standing overseas presence of Weihai Guangtai. Guangtai products are now exported to over 100 countries, with a reputation built on reliable products and solid service. Alongside that, Guangda has been steadily building up its after‑sales maintenance and comprehensive support capabilities, with a clear focus on meeting international standards. The service system and response mechanisms have been refined to match overseas requirements. This groundwork laid the foundation for cross‑border cooperation.   

Founded in 1996, FMG INC provides ground handling and maintenance services across all major airports in Japan. The core business covers ground support equipment(GSE) maintenance, overhaul, and technical support. FMG holds multiple international aviation certifications and maintains a skilled technical team capable of on-site responses. Serving both Japanese and international airlines, they have experience working with aviation engineering and equipment maintenance firms.

The pre-signing meeting brought together Mr Li Wenxuan, Chairman of Weihai Guangtai, Mr Liu Xiaojun, Deputy General Manager of Guangda, Mr Ito, President of FMG, and Mr Okudo, Director of FMG Ramp Business Developing Department. They held in-depth discussions before the signing.

Mr Li Wenxuan welcomed the Japanese delegation and outlined the operating model and expertise of Guangda. He described the tie-up as a win-win: the established presence of FMG would boost the market profile of Guangtai GSE, while helping Guangda offer overseas clients more efficient, reliable, and cost-effective support.

Mr Ito congratulated Guangda on its 30th anniversary, noting that FMG is also celebrating three decades in business - a meaningful coincidence. He confirmed that several types of Guangtai products are already in use in Japan, with a solid reputation for quality. He particularly praised the proactive maintenance approach promoted by Weihai Guangtai, which contrasts with traditional reactive repairs and fits current industry trends. Given the limited local maintenance resources for GSE in Japan, he saw strong potential for the co-operation, which could fill an important gap in the market.

The talks ended with Chairman Li inviting President Ito and Mr. Okubo to attend the anniversary celebration dinner.
