On the morning of November 8, 2025, a ceremony was held at Kashi Laining Airport to mark the opening of a new ground support equipment maintenance station operated by Shandong Guangda Aviation Service Co., Ltd.(Guangda). The event signaled a deepening of ties between the two sides and highlighted Guangda's commitment to supporting the Belt and Road Initiative through stronger aviation service capabilities.

The ceremony was attended by Mr Cui Daqing, Deputy General Manager of Kashi Laining International Airport, and Mr Li Wenxuan, Chairman of Weihai Guangtai Airport Equipment Co., Ltd. and Guangda. Also present were department heads from the airport and senior representatives from Guangda.

In his speech, Mr Li expressed gratitude to the airport for its trust and support. He introduced Guangda's strengths and experience in aviation services and stated that the new station would be operated to high standards, providing professional, efficient, and safe maintenance services. He noted that this move would help Kashi city build itself into a regional aviation hub and contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative.

Mr Cui welcomed Guangda's entry and called the partnership an important step in implementing the Belt and Road Strategy and promoting high-quality development of regional aviation industry. He pointed out that Kashi, as a key node on the Silk Road Economic Belt, has a growing strategic role as an aviation hub. The new maintenance station, he said, would improve the service system of Kashi Airport, raise operational efficiency, and bring new momentum to the economic and social development of Kashi and southern Xinjiang area.

This partnership marks a new chapter in the collaboration between Guangda and Kashi Laining International Airport. Both sides will strengthen communication, expand cooperation, and raise the standard of their partnership. The shared goal is to support growth in the aviation industry and contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative in northwest China.
